Perinatal Mental Health Disorders

Perinatal Mental Health Disorders impact 15 to 20% of birthing people during their perinatal period.

• They are the #1 complication from childbirth.

• There are at least six subtypes of PMHDs, causing a variety of symptoms.

• They often go undiagnosed and untreated, affecting the whole family.

What is "perinatal"?

The term "perinatal" means the period all around pregnancy, from conception until 1 year postpartum

• Mental health symptoms and disorders can impact us at any time during our lives.

• However, evidence has shown that there is a marked increase in them during the perinatal period.

Maternal/Paternal Mental Health

All parents past the official "perinatal" period, are in the right place. I provide ongoing support for maternal/paternal mental health through your parenting journey

I support all parents in understanding the emotional reactivity we notice towards ourselves and our children as we move through the perinatal period and further into our parenting experiences

About Me

I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker & a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW/LCSW) with over fifteen years of experience. I have provided mental health services to adults, children, and families. I strive to build a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients, working together to meet their personal goals,

Following my own lived experience with perinatal anxiety and OCD, I began working with the perinatal population.  I received my perinatal mental health certification (PMH-C) . I'm a member of Postpartum Support International, a former virtual peer support group facilitator, and a board member of my local chapter of PSI New Hampshire. I'm passionate about increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and providing quality mental health services to the perinatal and maternal population.
